Recruiter

DARCARS Automotive Group endeavors to secure a high quality Recruiter, responsible for achieving Company staffing and retention objectives through effective recruitment, evaluation, on-boarding and recognition programming.


Primary Accountabilities

Sourcing

  • Establishes recruiting strategy based on company and departmental objectives
  • Maximizes sourcing opportunities by researching and developing relationships with agency, community, industry-related and online job-site resources
  • Increases qualified candidate flow; maximizes posting visibility through various media channels
  • Builds effective job postings from comprehensive position descriptions
  • Improves Company attractiveness by researching and implementing sourcing trends and staying current on competitor activity
  • Enlists employees and managers as recruiting ambassadors; develops social media recruiting guidelines
  • Develops and manages internal posting program

Candidate Experience

  • Increases candidate-to-hire conversion rates by managing applicant experience
  • Manages application process and applicant tracking system
  • Maintains career page on Company website
  • Coordinates interview schedules; arranges interview logistics as needed e.g. travel, lodging, meals, tours, etc.

Candidate Evaluation

  • Works with hiring managers to set job qualifications; evaluates candidates against qualifications
  • Sets interviewing/hiring strategy; trains and monitors managers’ interviewing performance
  • Manages criminal background investigation and reference checking processes
  • Administers assessments e.g. personality inventory, writing samples, etc.

On-Boarding

  • Conducts new hire orientation
  • Researches and facilitates compliance training
  • Monitors new hire paperwork flow
  • Ensures appropriate hand-offs to store, Payroll, and IT
  • Sends welcome messages to staff
  • Serves as subject matter expert for new hire questions related to global benefits, policies, and procedures

Retention

  • Research, recommend and support reward and recognition programming

Administrative Functions

  • Meet or exceed time-to-fill and other position-related metrics
  • Builds effective position descriptions from which managers can set performance expectations
  • Stays current on employment-related legislation and trends; communicates/trains applicable leadership
  • Maintains job knowledge through relevant organization affiliations, educational opportunities, professional publications, personal and professional networks
  • Manages vendor relationships
  • Manages related contracts and budgets
  • Maintains knowledge of industry landscape

Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years of experience in high volume and senior-level recruiting
  • Advanced knowledge of innovative recruiting strategies
  • Solid knowledge of employment-related laws and trends
  • Critical thinker; ability to make informed decisions in a rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to influence
  • Self-reliant, persistent, results oriented ‘do-er’ with grit and a sense of humor
